This tomato jam/spread goes beautifully with blue and cured cheeses, like our Manchego curado as well as goat's cheese. Also delicious with cold meats, ploughmans and as an accompaniment to tomoto based sauces. Eat it just on its own especially with crusty bread!
It is produced with fresh Summer tomatoes from the Guadiana River fertile lowlands in Extremadura. It is then sweetened with brown cane sugar.
It is a slow cooked jam/spread and, like our fig jam, is high in vitamin content.
