Pimenton De La Vera

This  D.O. Pimenton de la Vera has been dried over oakwood giving it the distinctive smoky flavour. Las Colmenillas is a real artisan product made by one of the smaller pimenton producers in Spain, concentrating on quality rather than mass market production.  The seeds and the stalk do not add colour or flavour to Pimenton, so these are removed by hand before making this superb smoked paprika. This process gives it its great depth of flavour and colour and a fantastic smoky taste.
