Tapas
Tapas are an increasingly popular way of enjoying good Spanish food so we have brought together some products which come with our strong recommendation.

The origins of the word "tapa", coming from the Spanish tapar (to cover), has many theories. Some say it originated from using a  piece of bread to protect a glass of wine from flies, while others say it comes from placing your plate on top of your glass of wine - the theory being that you often stand when eating tapas and having a glass of wine in a bar in Spain. Whatever the origin it is a very popular way to eat and is also a great way to experience Spanish food and experience those great Spanish flavours.
On this page we have brought together some of the best examples of "tapas" style food as well as the typical cookware you need to make excellent tapas.  All this washed down with some great Spanish wine recommendations.
