These washbasins are often found in rural houses of the area. Originally they were made from large ceramic bowls called lebrillos. These beautiful painted bowls were traditionally used for kneading bread dough and over the years have found another use – a hole was made in the base and they became a wash basin.
We have seen them in situ and they are able to be fitted by dropping into a wooden or tiled area. They can also be painted to your own specification if you wish, so you will have a unique piece in your home.
If you are interested in a bespoke painted washbasin, please email us the details at info@purespain.co.uk
